Rachael Nix: a coffee queue, a lasting friendship

In the spotlight / Rachael Nix

A coffee queue.
A lasting friendship.

I met Rachael in Grounds Club. She insisted that Sailor Mark should go first in line. I refused. Neither of us was giving in, and she’s been my friend ever since.

That’s one of the things I love about life aboard. A small moment over coffee can become a friendship you carry from one voyage to the next.

Rachael is a dancer, a friend and so much fun in Untitled Dance Party. She’s also been an inspiration for a tattoo. Some people leave you with a good memory. Some find their way into the ink, too.

Here she is performing in Around the World with the Diva. I love getting to cheer on my friends and share a little of what they bring to the stage.

A memory from my time aboard. This performance clip celebrates Rachael and the cast; check the Sailor App for the shows and performers on your sailing.
