Same birthday. Different talents.

Two professional musicians. One enthusiastic audience member.

I met Selkii and Juan on Virgin Voyages, and they both became fast friends of mine. As we got to know each other, we discovered we had a few things in common.

They’re both professional musicians. I’m a professional audience member.

Just kidding. I’m not a professional. But I do take showing up and applauding very seriously.

Then we compared birthdays.

We’re all Scorpios, and we don’t just share a birthday season. We share the actual day: October 23.

Three friends, one birthday, and enough musical talent between them to make up for whatever I’m contributing. I’ll stick to my side of the stage.

That’s one of my favorite things about life aboard Virgin Voyages. You come for the trip, hear some wonderful music, and end up with friends you’re celebrating long after the show ends.

Happy birthday to Selkii, Juan and me! Here’s to more music, more laughter and more memories together. If a little misbehaving finds its way into the celebration, I suspect we’ll manage.
